The Light and Love of My Life
The story of one's devotion to the wolves in their life.

This is a book that should be read by all those who now have or will have a wolf in their life. Ann Blackburn shares with her readers the true emotions of exchanging all your feelings with a pair of animals who are known for a level of devotion that far exceeds that of humans. Ann's experience with these two animals becomes a life-changing experience. It is easy to read and well worth the couple of hours it will take to e read it.

It is available from Balboa Press [ISBN:978-1-5043-3800-4 (sc) / ISBN:978-1-5043-3801-4 (e)] or at KOBO https://store.kobobooks.com/en-us/ebook/the-light-and-loves-of-my-life-1 for $5.39.

Artown's 16th Annual

ART PAWS

2016 Art Paws

Art Paws is the only "Bring Your Dog Day" during Reno's Artown festival. Art Paws features products and services designed to uplift your pet's mind, body, and soul - all while helping animals in need. All proceeds benefit local pet organizations and artists!

Special features this year included wine tasting, a bona fide beer garden, pet contests, and live music. More than 100 local vendors came together to celebrate all that is CANINE at Artown's 16th Annual Art Paws and savor the joy of gourmet everything in the company of friends, furry and not. Imprint their immortal soul on canvas. Gaze into a crystal ball with the aid of a psychic. And have doggie fun. Art Paws features products and services designed to uplift the canine mind, body, and soul - and help animals in need.

Once again this year the UNITED STATES WOLF REFUGE was voted the "top dog" (or should I say TOP WOLF-DOG) winning the "People's Choice Award" at the event showing that we are one of Reno's favorite animal rescues and we will be awarded a portion of the proceeds from this outstanding fundraising event that will help our pack.

Pack Member of the Month

"Comanche"

Comanche

One of our favorite "success stories" that the long time volunteers love to talk about is our pack member COMANCHE. 10 year old Comanche was a rescue from San Jose California after we attended one of the Stanford Powwow's. Meeting this big wolf was certainly a life changing experience for me as I'm sure it was for many of us.

It has been a very long journey with him and we will never regret any of it. You can read Comanche's story on his "The Wolves" page of our website and to help us celebrate his journey and his life, you can purchase Comanche's Adopt-a-Wolf Packet which will be on special for the entire month of August.
