On September 27, 2012 the U.S. Wolf Refuge rolled out the royal treatment for our new pack member Cheyanne. This sweet energetic girl came to us from Wasco, CA where she was captured by Wasco Animal Care and Control where she was running loose. We have found that her running loose was no surprise. Her ability to warm your heart is only exceeded by her ability climb fence. The humane but secure confinement here at the Refuge has proven no match for even the greatest of "escape artists" but Cheyanne showed us they were not 100% escape proof. Since being here and getting to know many of her new canine friends, she has settled in and is quite comfortable in her new life. Her inclination to climb fence has vanished and she now runs and plays incessantly. She has shown an affection toward Bill Chamberlain that is endless. Even when she has run and played to exhaustion, her boundless energy comes alive when she sees him.

The initial observation of her temperament and behavior is that she will be available for adoption. This sweetheart deserves to be in loving home with other animals and people who she adores.

We strongly urge those of you who feel you might have what it takes to give this sweetheart a happy, healthy and loving home, please go our website and fill out the Adoption Questionnaire so we can put the adoption process in motion.

In the meantime, this little angel will be enjoying her new life at the refuge and has shown promise of possibly sharing some of the “ambassador” duties for local public appearances with Kasa and Takoda.
